With the many transits centers and the many airports that I have traveled from there has been one place that is on the fore front of travel and tourism is the Old Town Transit Center. The many years of history and no9t some of the best years that have been the loss of life, yet the days go by, and the travel industry goes on and the trains keep operating for the many trains that have come through the city of San Diego through the Old Town Transit Center has numbered in the thousands, The Transit Center has been the footstep to the State Park and the many side streets to the inner areas of Old Town. For the many years that have people have com e to San Diego by way of the Amtrack and the Coaster there has been one thing that many have forgotten is the one thing that one thing that the Old Town Transit Station was used for its right down the street on Midway and Rosecrans one of the biggest sports buildings here in San Diego. Thew one event that you could see come to town and those words have meaning is the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus they would walk the elephants from the station to the San Diego Sports Arena. There are so many facts that most people don't know the circus came to town through that one transit station of the many trains. With the many times that I have rode the rode the trolley it can be one that has been numbered over many times with the older city buses of the San Diego Transit the buses that you could see the bikes being carried on the back of the bus. With the new addition of the many new bus lines and the airport buses that leave times of every 25 minutes and the ones on the Broadway downtown its every 15 minutes with the times traffic cam be very heavy from the airport. With the transit travels between Downtown San Diego and old Town you can get to the many places with the connections to some off the outside tour groups such as the Old Town Trolley group that takes you to the many parts of San Diego and the some of the many places of the Gaslamp, and over to the Island of Coronado. San Diego has so many new projects with the connections at the 12th and Imperial Transit Station and now the start of the Copper Line that will be only from El Cajon to Santee. Old Town Transit has expanded the many bus parking areas with the many new routes and new transit buses some of the buses that will be going green battery powered. Yes, the many change that will be coming from that will be coming from the San Diego Transit the Pronto System has been one of the best and with the monthly SDM cards the very low monthly fee of 23.00 dollars per month. With the best prices and the great service, the transit center and the many trolley centers you can get to the many areas of San Diego by either the way of the forms of the great buses that service the many areas of San Diego and the East County. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer of the many times that I have traveled form the old town transit center is the one the center is the many great routes you can get to the beach by way of the bus and the shopping malls by way of the trolley without having to drive around to find a place. The one of the of the most important things to remember is safety in the station and the yellow line is stay behind the line when the trolley is pulling in.

Not the cleanest station but I get in good cardio and hip work dodging the homeless people and other characters on the way to the airport. I take the Coaster or Amtrak from North County to Old Town Transit Center and then the San Diego Flyer (read review) to the airport. Heck of a lot cheaper than Uber, Lyft, one way car rental, or parking. I do the reverse to get back home. It's walking distance to Old Town so convenient to stopping by for a margarita, beer , or other beverage. Giant parking lot which I think is still free.

So it looks like I reviewed this station about 10 years ago (wow), but after a recent visit I remembered how convenient it is to get on/off the Surfliner from here rather than downtown. I love the easy freeway access and not having to navigate the streets of downtown... such a stress reliever. Don't expect too much here aside from hoping on a train, some self-serve kiosks, a small shop that serves snacks that's open during the day (and maybe at night too) and close proximity to Old Town if you want to slug a margarita or three before or after your train ride. I mean, what else do you need? It's a train station!

My family and I took the train from San Diego back home to Seattle in 2107. Ticket purchase was easy. This was our second train trip we've tried so far. We rode the double decker Amtrak. Thankfully, it was not crowded in our section. We had a peaceful ride. The seats were pretty comfortable. It was a great experience however, I'd rather fly!
